Albino white yak shawl

About Me:

Albino White Yak Shawl

Out of all types of yaks, 2-3% are white albino Yak. These albino white yaks are very rare and very little amount of yak wool is collected. It looks off-white, not white, making it very rare to catch fabric of all time. Tibetian albino yaks are very versatile animal yaks that produce a luxury inner coat that is durable, soft, and warm. They are simply true friends of the Sherpa people since they are multipurpose animals Domesticated by Himalayan people for thousands of years. They are primarily used for milk, fiber, and meat, and as beasts of burden. Their dried droppings are an important fuel, used all over the Himalayas, and are often the only fuel available on the high treeless Tibetan Plateau.  Albino White Yaks transport goods across mountain pass for local farmers and traders as well as for climbing and trekking expeditions. “Only one thing makes it hard to use yaks for long journeys in barren regions. They will not eat grain, which could be carried on the journey. They will starve unless they can be brought to a place where there is grass.”

Pure Albino White Yak Shawl

This stunning Albino white yak wool Shawl would be the talking point in any room. This pure yaks wool blanket has been made entirely by hand by Pashminastudio in Nepal, making it a unique addition to any home.

As explained in Tibetan/ Sherpa fairytales, the white yak is the most essential animal of a nomad. In Tibet and Nepal, white is associated with milk and yogurt, givers of life, billowing clouds, and snow lions. White is longevity; exemplified in White Tara, the bodhisattva of long life, and in the white hair of the elderly, celebrating their power to defy the years. White is also pure, like newly fallen snow. Khatas, the scarves offered as greetings or shows of respect on auspicious occasions, are also white.

The purest, softest, and most luxurious yak wool we’ve ever touched. These scarves are so light you’ll forget you’re wearing one. This shawl is not only spectacularly beautiful and practical but also makes a statement about your personality. You deserve this unique pair of earrings and shawl, as much as you deserve to look your best!
